Canada Challenge Results
Ten year old Zak Kiballa (Owego,NY) brings home the GOLD from the Canada Challenge. Zak defeted his Dad, Jerry in the Quarter-final round, while moving on to defeat Mike Horan (Endicott,NY) in the Semi-final and then finally defeating Dana Rogers (Groveland,MA) in the "D" Division Final Round, 4games to 3.
Horan was defeated 3 games to 2 in the final to determine the Bronze medalist. The final game was all tie at 2 at the end of regulation play. Jason Roberts of Gatieau, QC scored to win on a nearly unstoppable shot that went over the goaltenders shoulder after 3 minutes of overtime play.
Zak Kiballa's younger brother Luke, an Eight year old played with determination but was defeated in his Semi- Final round by Jonathon Boulanger of Trois-Rivieres, QC.

The SBS Open is a Stiga table BATHL local tournament held on Super Bowl Sunday afternoon for those who are not concerned with all the pre Super Bowl television hype. We get together and play all afternoon and conclude prior to the opening kickoff (for those who opt to watch).
